Jabiru was floated as a public company in 2000 to develop the remnant VMS resources of the old Teutonic Bore mine (mined 1980-1985). A joint venture was entered into with Inmet over the Teutonic Bore lease area which resulted in the discovery the Jaguar VMS resource 4 kilometres south of Teutonic Bore in 2002. Inmet drilled Jaguar to resource status and Jabiru subsequently negotiated to take 100% ownership of both Jaguar and the exploration Joint Venture in 2004, which then enabled Jabiru to take Jaguar through to development and into production in its’ own right.
